Release notes

What's new

Every change that ships in the Klepsy.ai macOS app, newest first. The current version is 1.1.3.

1.1.3
Current
  • Diagnostics no longer need an account. When you have allowed them, crash reports and update checks now reach us from installs that have not signed in, so a problem can be found without waiting for someone to report it. No task text and no audio are part of these.
1.1.2
  • Releasing the hotkey always ends the session. The widget could keep listening after you let go, sometimes for a minute, and then act on a room full of talk. The release is now handled the instant it arrives.
  • New tasks by voice are reliable again. "Start writing release notes" and similar commands were sometimes dropped without a word. They now go through even when the live preview missed the phrase.
1.1.1
  • Automatic updates. Klepsy now checks for a new version once a day and offers to install it for you. Check any time from Settings or the menu bar item. This is the last version you need to download by hand.
  • Voice stability. Fixed a crash that could happen when a command was spoken in the first moments after launch, and a dictionary quirk that dropped the word before a custom term.
  • Crash reports. If the app ever crashes, an anonymous diagnostic is sent so it can be fixed. No task text and no audio are included in it.
1.1.0
  • Menu bar item. The running task and its elapsed time now sit in the menu bar, with Stop, Done, and Switch one click away.
  • Keyboard shortcuts. Cmd+Shift+S stops or resumes the running task, Cmd+Shift+D marks it done, Cmd+Shift+N jumps to the next task, and Cmd+1 through Cmd+5 switch pages.
  • Running task card. The card now shows a large live clock and a RUNNING badge, so the current task is obvious at a glance.
  • Voice. When nothing was understood, the widget no longer shows a failure. A second recognition pass now runs on the captured audio before giving up.
  • Works offline, and signed out. Tasks you create without a connection, or before signing in, are now queued on disk and pushed as soon as you are back. Nothing is lost while the network is gone.
  • Sync. Fixes for switching between Macs, so a task started on one machine shows correctly on the other.
  • Installer. The download is now a notarized disk image with an Applications shortcut: open, drag, done.
1.0.0
  • First public release. Push-to-talk voice tracking on macOS, task switching with logged reasons, projects, custom voice dictionaries, daily timeline, AI daily summary, AI monthly narrative, natural-language Ask, CSV, JSON, and PDF export, and sync across Macs.
